Lay a border with painters tape and have plenty of towels ready. This stuff is rather thin and will continue to flow until all preasure is released from the gun.

Comments about 4000UV Polyether Adhesive Sealant:

I tried gorilla glue and I tried epoxy and neither one would hold. the 3m sealant works better than anything else. it is the only adhesive I could find that would hold rubber against steel without slipping under pressure.

Do not use solvents around curing caulk to clean up bead. This will cause problems with the process of curing.

Comments about 4000UV Polyether Adhesive Sealant:

My application has been to seal the inner tube on an old HBI inflatable dinghy. The inner tube is a clear poly bag. Its very old and leaks too often. I've patched pin holes and recently 1/8 inch cuts. All with success. This year I'm coating the entire surface, to do that I've thinned the 4000 with turpentine and tested it on samples. It holds very well but dries slower. These inner tubes get wet as sea water seeps into the unit, its normal.
