Prevent damaging ice formation around your boat’s hull with a 3/4 hp energy efficient Ice Eater. Motor housing is constructed of corrosion-resistant, stainless steel (304) and has a bronze endbell. Motor is matched with a permanent-split capacitor to ensure quick, high-torque and smooth operation from the single-phase induction motor. Two heavy-duty ball bearings provide support for the rotor while it is being cooled with dielectric type oil. Copper, stator motor windings are double-insulated, to guard against water.

Internal, hard-faced mechanical seal is itself immersed in dielectric lubricating fluid and protects the motor against water intrusion. This seal is supplemented by a double lip shaft seal, for extra protection. Prop shaft is also stainless (316) and is ideal for saltwater applications. Prop offers maximum thrust and performance and screws onto shaft for easy removal and replacement. Sacrificial zinc protects against electrolysis. Includes 25'L of 16/3 water- and oil-resistant power cord with grounded plug, two 25'L x 3/8" hollow braided lines with shackles and PVC brackets—with stainless bolts and locking aircraft nuts—to attach motor to shroud. Runs on 120V with one phase.
