Overview of Shaft Seal - 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 6 1/4".

A stationary carbon flange is held in contact against a stainless flange, which rotates with the prop shaft. The high-density carbon/graphite flange is attached to the boat by a nitrile bellows which, with the help of water pressure, produces a constant pressure between the carbon and stainless flanges. This mechanical seal is impervious to engine motion and vibration, creating a 100% watertight and maintenance-free seal.

Made from space-age carbon composites, heavy-duty nitrile O-rings, nitrile bellows, and Type 316 stainless rotor and fasteners
Durable, strong, corrosion resistant and unaffected by high temperatures, saltwater, UV radiation and petroleum-based products
Sizes available help to eliminate bushing the bellows or modifying the stern tube
Both prop shaft and stern tube (shaft log) diameters are necessary when ordering
Two types are available: Standard (under 12 knots of boat speed) and High Speed (over 12 knots or water-injected stuffing boxes)
