Gen-Sep Water Separators

Remove cooling water from exhaust systems

Use with the Vernalift muffler or other lift-type mufflers on gensets and small auxiliary engines. Position the water drain from the Gen-Sep just below the water line to eliminate water splash, especially important for nighttime operation. The Gen-Sep replaces the loop that is normally used, and should be installed above the outlet of the muffler, at the highest point in the system. Gen-Sep will remove nearly all of the cooling water from the exhaust. That water can then be drained to a hull fitting just below the waterline, thus eliminating excess noise often created by splashing and pulsating water flow at the exhaust outlet. A slight downward angle is required for both the exhaust outlet and the exhaust gas tube.
