Overview of 11.1" to 13.5" Diameter Stainless-Steel Propeller Repair.

Need to repair your propeller?
West Marine is proud to join with Henry H. Smith & Company, the oldest and largest propeller repair facility in the Midwest, to offer repair and reconditioning of aluminum and stainless props.

A family-owned business that began in 1900, Henry Smith, of Algonac, Michigan, specializes in providing solutions for all your boating propulsion problems. Operated by four generations of the same family, they can repair any prop from 6" to 60" in diameter, and they fix about 150 propellers of all shapes and sizes every day. They also supply prop shafts, rudders, struts, couplings and other related hardware. One price covers everything for the repair of your propeller, including round-trip freight, welding and boxes.

How much time will the repair take?
Just bring your prop to any West Marine store (except Canada, Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii) and we will send it for repair via FedEx Ground (see below for Expedited Shipping options). Repairs at the shop usually require a day and a half.
Average total time to get your prop back, repaired and reconditioned:

  • Midwestern U.S. in three or four days
  • Maine, Florida, Louisiana in five or six days
  • As far as California in seven or eight days
