Water Pumps The water pump is the heart of your inboard or I/O cooling system. All Sierra pumps are bidirectional and can be installed on reverse rotation engines. The pumps are also powder coated for additional protection. Includes mounting gasket. Pumps include brass bi-directional impellers, brass plugs and fittings, carbon resin seal, all mounting gaskets, stainless steel seal cup and spring, stainless steel back plate (where required), and powder coating for maximum corrosion protection.

High-performance fuel injected engines require ultimate fuel filtration, separation of water from the fuel supply and maximum fuel flow. Sierra’s filter elements deliver all three of these critical performance factors. 7900-Series 10 micron filters eliminate harmful contaminants at over 90% efficiency, while removing over 98. They’re engineered for today’s sterndrives and inboards, along with 2-cycle and 4-cycle outboards. That is why a high efficiency water separating filter is so important.

Sierra-Tube-Exhaust from SIERRA
Some larger V-8 engines that create a large amount of back pressure use exhaust tubes rather than bellows. This helps to relieve the excessive pressure and eliminate problems with premature bellows failure. In the past, the exhaust bellows would blow up like a balloon and cause the drive shaft bellows to rub against the yoke and U-joints causing holes in the bellows.
