The central nervous system of every SmartPilot system, Raymarine corepacks are comprised of a course computer,patented fluxgate electronic compass and rudder reference unit. In order to select the right SmartPilot corepack for your vessel you must first determine which autopilot drive unit is right for your steering system. The innovative SmartPilot X-5 Wheel autopilot is equipped with the fully enclosed MkII wheel-drive for simple installation and below deck autopilot performance. The control unit and patented fluxgate compass are mounted separately for easy access and optimum performance. Select the corepack (without a control head, but including the course computer, fluxgate compass and drive unit) if you already have a control head and only need the rest of the autopilot system.
