Home -> Anchor & Docking -> Anchors->Danforth Standard Anchors
Every angle on a Danforth® anchor contributes to its performance. A 32º shank angle is assured, because the shank comes to rest on special reinforcing yokes inside the angled crown plates. For boats up to 27'. Anchor weight 9 lbs. The inward sloping crown forces its thin, sharp flukes down into the bottom while I-beam fluke construction provides an extra margin of safety with its strength and durability. As the rode becomes taut, the beveled flukes penetrate deeper until firmly set.
