Electric winches operate at the touch of a button and provide a full manual two-speed override when you want it. The ELS Series use a solid-state control box that runs the winch at high speed and slows it down as the load increases. Quiet running and easy to install, these winches provide efficient operation and are suitable for genoa sheets on boats 30'–36', and for main halyards on boats 40'–46'. Both series include the winch, drive unit, motor, deck switch, control box and circuit breaker.

Wincher, 2.25IN TO 2.75IN from WATSKI
Winchers are rubber disks that fit over the top of your non-self-tailing winches to make them perform like self-tailers. Loading up the winch drums until the line contacts the underside of the Wincher creates friction which allows the line to self-tail. A rope groove holds line reasonably securely around the top of the winch. Practical Sailor Magazine suggests Winchers for halyard winches, but not sheet winches, although we have many comments from customers who swear by them.
