Clear Lake, TX (July 03, 2012)

Edgar Hansen, deck boss and chief engineer on the fishing vessel Northwestern, featured on the popular TV show “Deadliest Catch,” will make a special appearance at the new West Marine Store, 1401 Marina Bay Drive in Kemah, on Saturday, July 14, from noon to 2PM.  Hansen will be signing autographs and selling Northwestern “Crab Killer” t-shirts and caps.

To celebrate Edgar Hansen’s appearance in the store, there will also be free hot dogs, soft drinks and some special raffle prizes.

Hansen was originally supposed to visit Houston in early May during the grand opening of the new Store, which, at 25,000 square feet, is the largest boating supply store in the state of Texas.  But the Northwestern was called out to sea again at the last minute to complete the crew’s fishing quota for the season.

This is a very special opportunity for fans of ‘Deadliest Catch’ to meet Edgar Hansen and enjoy another great event at West Marine,” says Nolan Vander-Haagen, Store Manager.
