West Marine Press Release
|West Mareine Selects Lenco Autoglide Boat Leveling System as a Hot Pick for 2013|
Watsonville, CA (February 11, 2013)
West Marine (Nasdaq:WMAR), the largest specialty retailer of boating supplies and accessories, will feature the Lenco Autoglide Boat Leveling System at the Miami International Boat Show. Trim tabs improve the performance of almost any boat, but it’s not always easy to set them at the optimum angle. Lenco has changed that with their Autoglide control, which uses GPS and twin gyros to sense the boat’s attitude and set the trim tabs accordingly. This results in better fuel economy and increases safety by keeping the vessel’s bow down until it is on a plane. The Autoglide control can be retrofitted to any boat with Lenco trim tabs.
“The Lenco Autoglide Trim Tabs make it easier for any boater to stay in trim,” according to Chuck Hawley, VP of Product Information for West Marine. “As a result they can run their boat more efficiently which saves on fuel costs and will make the ride on the water much safer, especially when getting on a plane.”
Customers can visit West Marine’s booth at the Miami International Boat Show or online via www.westmarine.com to learn more about the Lenco Autoglide Trim Tabs or any of West Marine’s 75,000 other product offerings.
