West Marine (Nasdaq:WMAR), the largest specialty Waterlife Outfitter of quality marine grade products, apparel, footwear and accessories, will introduce the Paddle Craft Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) at the Miami International Boat Show.
The Paddle Craft SUP is the result of three years of development and introduces the patented impact-resistant thermoSUP™ technology. Designed and engineered by Open Air Dynamics, the Paddle Craft features a durable ABS shell, with a honeycomb waterproof foam core, making the board only 31 pounds, and easy to carry and transport. The Paddle Craft can accommodate up to 300 pounds.
“Referred to as the SUV of stand-up paddleboards because of its durability, the Paddle Craft board went through rigorous testing,” noted West Marine’s Executive Vice President of Merchandise, Ron Japinga. “This is a great introductory SUP that can withstand the rigor of an active lifestyle.”
The Paddle Craft SUP retails for $899.99 and will be available for in March, 2014 at select West Marine stores and online at westmarine.com. Customers can get a sneak peak at the West Marine booth, at the Miami International Boat Show (center pod, upper level).
