Lounge Seats

Lounge seats are back-to-back upholstered seats that install in the cockpits of small powerboats. The backs fold down to create full-length recliners for sunbathing or snoozing.

Jump Seats

Jump seats are upholstered, non-folding single seats.

Bench Seats

Bench seats, also called swingback seats, are rectangular bench seats with seat backs suspended on metal arms that allow you to "swing" the backrest from one side to the other for fishing. They are frequently used in center console boats at the steering station. Most have storage in the base for beverages, bait, extra PFDs and other gear. The hinged seat lid provides access.

Helm Seats

Helm seats are available in many different designs and are either mounted on metal support columns (pedestals), or they are attached to a bench. They provide comfort and security while steering, fishing, lounging or observing water-skiers.

Fishing Seats

fishing chairs are special seats with additional features for fishing. Depending on the fishing style, they can be very simple or tricked out with hardware. Examples include casting seats which anglers use to rest on when casting or trolling; and fighting chairs, which are designed for bluewater game fishing. They typically are mounted on the cockpit floor or on a pedestal and come with special hardware such as rod gimbals, footrests, and removable seat backs.

Folding Seats

Folding seats bolt onto bench seats on small fishing boats to provide paddling and back support. They are usually made of molded plastic and are a low-cost way to make a day on the water much more comfortable.

Helm and Fishing Seat Hardware

Helm and fishing seat hardware includes the following:

  • Pedestals for supporting the seat above the cockpit sole
  • Mounting plates called spiders, which bolt underneath the seat to the pedestal
  • Swivels and sliders
  • Rod gimbals
  • Footrests and armrests
  • Leaning Posts

Leaning posts and swingback seats are multi-function seating options that can save space on smaller vessels where room to move and storage capacity are at a premium.

Leaning posts, which are supported by pedestals are mainly for standing, not sitting. They provide support when steering or when fighting fish, and help store and organize fishing equipment.

Swingback Seats

Swingback seats are an economical solution for smaller boats, combining a seat with storage space for anchors, fenders, PFDs, a cooler or a live well. The backrest is mounted on two swing arms, so it can be put in either a forward or backward position, depending on the intended use.

Pontoon Boat Seats

Pontoon boat seats combine seating and storage space for pontoon boats. Their seat cushions are hinged so they can flip up for access to the storage space in the base. Pontoon boat seats are made from rot-resistant roto-molded plastic frames and have polyurethane cushions with vinyl covers in a variety of color combinations.

Folding Deck Chairs

Deck chairs are folding seats that increase available seating when needed and fold up for storage when not in use. Boaters frequently need portable seating in the cockpit, on deck, or on the dock.

Tables

Tables are generally used in the cockpits of mid- to large-sized powerboats to accompany seating for lounging and entertaining. Freestanding models are folded and stored out of the way, while others are mounted on pedestals.
