I was given this product by 3M to use and try. I had not used it before and have to say I am not only impressed, but sold on it. The first application I tried was pretty simple...I have a stand alone pantry I keep my dog's food, treats, toys, etc in and I took photos of my dog, and using this product, I was able to "glue" them on the door. I did take the door off and outside to do this after reading the cautions about the fumes. Following the directions, it turned out great! My next use was originally done as a temporary fix to a problem, but now is a permanent fix. My shed has an odd shaped and size window that the builder must have custom made. The window glass had a crack in it that was spreading and I wanted to replace it, but not with glass. I had a piece of plexi-glass that I cut to size, so I removed the glass, and using this adhesive, I was able to glue it into the frame. I never would have thought about doing that had I not had this on hand, and am please with how it turned out. The spray goes on white, but dries clear, so you can't see where it was attached. Just for the fun of it, I had a pair of pants that the hem was coming down on. I sprayed a little of this on the material, and put the hem back up. Not sure how it would stand up to washing, but I did stitch it and it was nice not having to worry about stitching around pins, etc. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and can see multiple uses for it in the future.

I received this multipurpose adhesive free to review. I'm not sure of what it would cost, but it is a large can with a lot of adhesive. I tried it on plastic, paper and fun foam. One of the issues I had was that I was trying to glue small areas and the adhesive spray went everywhere. It did work on the areas I wanted to glue, but I also had it on my hands, etc. If you had a large area to glue, then it would work fine. So I would recommend it with that caveat.

Comments about 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive:

This product works great! I have always had issues with sticky labels sticking to a wooden mail sorter in my office. Recently, several of the sticky labels fell off and I used this product to reattach the labels. It works wonderfully and does not appear as though they will fall off again!!

Very Great Adhesive

Comments about 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive:

3M gave me a free sample of this product to evaluate, I had 2 pairs of summer shoes that the sole had partially detached from the shoe. I sprayed the rubber sole and let it tack for a few minutes and put it together and put a heavy weight on them. The shoes have been worn for weeks and the soles have not detached. Great product!!!! Thank you.

Works Much Better Than Traditional Contact Cement!

Comments about 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive:

3M sells a variety of spray adhesives, but typically only the 77 (multipurpose) and 90 (high-strength) formulations are available for sale at the local hardware stores. The 77 has served me well for years and I’ve never seen the need for any additional grip in a variety of applications. Spraying just one surface is adequate for most situations, but I usually spray both for veneer. Also, it seems to work best if at least one of the surfaces is porous - maybe something to do with outgassing. Overspray is inevitable if you want complete edge-to-edge coverage and laying down protective plastic or paper beneath often takes more time than anything else. Be sure to clean the spray tip after each use or else the spray pattern can be unpredictable - excessive overspray patterns and/or blobs of adhesive on mating surfaces. Acetone seems to work best for cleaning the tip itself and I often squirt a small amount in the plastic dispenser tube as well so that it won’t clog up - just be sure to shake it out after a couple of seconds. This product is best for medium to large surface areas, particularly flat pieces that need to be accurately positioned - it usually gives you a second chance to adjust the pieces so long as you haven't pressed them together. A wooden rolling pin works great as a improvised brayer. I also appreciate that there is no bleed-through on thinner surfaces, such as medium-weight paper.

Easy enoguh to use, even with children!

Comments about 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive:

I received this product free from 3M. I hadn't had a chance to try the product until recently when one of my daughters had a school project. I used this to glue regular construction paper on the poster board and it worked great and dried quickly. My only complaint is that it is hard to spray in small areas because it will try to get everywhere, so it is best used for big projects. For areas that only needed a little glue, I used a regular glue stick. Pros: Easy to use for big projects, Dries quickly, Sticks well Cons: Not ideal for small projects, somewhat hard to clean up afterwards (Residue sticks to surrounding areas), pretty strong smell

Glad to have it here

Comments about 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive:

Although I have not yet used this product, I am glad to have it in my cupboard for when the need does arrise, as I am sure that it will! I like the fact that it is a spray making it easy to use and the various types of surfaces that it can be used on is great for general household use. Given the fact that I haven't yet had an occasion to actually put it to the test, I can only give it 4 stars, I am happy knowing it is on hand, I think it would work well for any use that I might have pop up, but not having tested it, don't feel that 5 stars would be appropriate.

Made me a believer

By Camper814

Comments about 3M Super 77 Spray Adhesive:

I was pretty skeptical about this spray adhesive when 3M sent it to me to try and review. I had a sunflower seed bucket that I wanted to cover with my material for my camper. So I gave it a try. About 20 minutes later I was done and wishing that I had taken more time to measure and cut my material....because this stuff was awesome. It was forgiving enough to let me adjust the material, but then when it dried, the material was set. Edges all glued too. So 20 minutes for this--see photo! Will be doing more fancying up of containers.
