A unique paddle to best support anglers on fishing trips.
You’ve got the kayak, you’ve got the fishing gear, but what about the paddle? Choosing a paddle is an important factor not to be overlooked. The right length will ensure you don’t tire out too soon or put unnecessary strain on your body. Weight is also a factor. The Angler Classic has these things going for it along with many other features.
The Angler Classic works in in fresh and saltwater. Made with reinforced fiberglass, nylon and proprietary resin, the paddle is light to hold. It has the advantage of a telescoping shaft, allowing up or down adjustments to fit paddler height and kayak width. Measurements are depicted alongside the shaft to help with gauging. Heavy duty drip rings prevent water from spilling onto you or inside the kayak. The shaft has an oval-shaped grip for a better hold.
It’s ferrule capable, so it can be split apart into two for compact storage as well as twisted to set blades at different angles from each other, helping avoid wrist strain while decreasing the pull against wind. By presenting an edge to the wind instead of the wide flat blade front, there is less strain brought on by the elements. The Hook Retrieval System is a unique feature. A groove manufactured into the side of a blade edge can be used to free snagged fishing hooks, untangle lines from obstacles, rescue lures – it can even assist in pulling in a catch. The bright blade color is a safety advantage, making paddlers noticeable to bigger, faster moving boats.

Choosing paddle length
When considering paddle length, make sure to take into account the width of your kayak in addition to your height. The greater the kayak width, the more length is needed in the paddle to reach the water. If you have a sit-on-top kayak and your seat is raised six or more inches above the base, add about three inches to your paddle length.
