Cons

Comments about C E Smith Universal Small-Craft Trailer:

As the other reviewers have written, this is a great little trailer. I bought it to carry two Laser sailboats for my son and me. Made some custom wood racks that held the boats, mast sections and booms. Putting the trailer together is pretty straightforward and took a couple hours, not including the woodworking I did to hold the sailboats.

This boat has pretty firm springs for one 135 pound Laser hull, so it tends to bounce a little. With two boats stacked on top, it rides smoothly. If you're carrying a lighweight kayak or other similar boat, make sure it is tied down securely. As for the lights, I had no problem, because I never submerged the trailer. The best solution to the non-waterproof lights is to replace them with LED trailer lights. They'll never burn out.

Comments about C E Smith Universal Small-Craft Trailer:

Took about 4 hours to put together. Great trailer for my 10 foot inflatable RIB. Running lights did not work after the first season, found out they are not waterproof. Inside of lights were all corroded. I will need to replace all lights.
