Comments about echoMAP 70dv Fishfinder/Chartplotter with Transducer:

I teach GPS seminars to the local Power Squadrons and have lots of experience with many Garmin units. This 7" touch screen is a very easy to use product. After using an Iphone for awhile the touch screen just feels perfect. Garmin engineers have made big improvements to this over the 441/541 series. All the data I like on the screen are there from the get go. water depth, temp, time of day, voltage, heading, position. when you start to navigate another box opens that gives you steering info etc in addition to the previous data that still is visable.
It was easy for me with help from the Garmin techs to upload all my 550 waypoints and numerous routes and tracks from my old 178C using Nema 0183. The fact that I can make screen shots has made it easy for me to upload screen images for my power point presentaion. The Home Port product is also good for me to work on my routes at home and then upload the the unit.
