Well worth the money!

Led lights are the ONLY way to go. I am slowly replacing all the lights on both boats with them.

These LED lights have been on my trailer for only 5 months now. Until this week I thought they were fantastic with extremely bright light and nice fit and finish. That was until I went to leave yesterday and 4 of the led bulbs on the right side are already out and will not work at all. For these to be only 5 months old and only launched 6-7 times I feel like they are a cheaply made product. And now the right side looks pretty tacky. These were all mounted properly with soldered and shrink wrap connections so there really is not an excuse for them to be failing internally so early. If I were at the 2 year plus mark I would have no issues going and replacing them but this is a little much.

Comments about Universal Hi Count LED Under 80 Wide Trailer Lights:

Just installed these and it only took about 1/2 hour. The package came with everything needed and they worked on the first try. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 starts is that I have not had them long. Only time will tell. Hopefully they will hold up to many uses.

We switched these out immediately after purchasing kayak trailer. Wanted something brighter with less bulb changes.

Comments about Universal Hi Count LED Under 80 Wide Trailer Lights:

I bought the lights without realising they included a complete wiring harness. Was glad I did as I had some wiring issues as well. It was an easy job with very detailed instructions and the lights appear to be of high quality. My boat is 20', I don't think the harness would work on a trailer much longer than that.

Comments about Grote Industries Universal Hi Count LED Under 80 Wide Trailer Lights:

Have had on my trailer for about 2 1/2 years. Launch and retrieve in salt water about 10-15 times per year. The left light is flawless. But 6 of the 12 right LEDs have failed (though for some reason, a few occasionally see fit to light for a short while). The nuts and bolts are corroded, but not badly so (trailer is galvanized, which would protect the light bolts, too). Had some trouble getting the ground wire to take when installed, but otherwise they have held up OK. Basically, the right light still works well enough to get by - it just looks dumb!

Recommend removing the "steel" mounting bolts and replacing with SST 1/4"x 1-1/2: carriage bolts, washers and nuts before mounting on trailer. I wonder why Grote used SST screws to install the lenses but used steel bolts for the mounting bolts???? Hope these West Marine Premium priced LED trailer lights last a good long time.

Comments about Universal Hi Count LED Under 80 Wide Trailer Lights:

Each tail light has 12 individual LED's spread throughout it. After about a year and a half, only 4 out of the 12 LEDs work on my right hand side light. The bolts/nuts that hold the light in place are also rusted solid. I will probably have to break it off to replace it.

To be fair, the Blazer LED trailer lights that are readily found online did not even last a few months when I tried them before these Grote lights... Maybe I expect too much????
