Convenient, easy to use, simple to install and far superior to a dip stick, sight glass or an electric float gauge, Tank Tender uses air pressure to provide accurate readings for up to ten tanks. No electrical connection is necessary. With this system, you just select a tank to measure, pump in a small amount of air from the bridge and in two or three seconds you have a reading.
Gauges read in inches for diesel and water, however, monitoring waste holding tanks is possible with optional Purge Valve Toggle Switch used to clear waste holding tank PTF tubes before taking a reading. We offer systems here for 30" deep tanks. Each system includes gauge/tank-selection panel, 30' nylon tubing per tank (continuous roll) and tank 30" penetration fittings. Panels measure 4"W x 8"H x 2-7/8"D. 3-1/16"W x 5"H cutout required.
Randy Repass, the founder of West Marine, has one installed on his boat and he says "...the main reason for using Tank Tender is Reliability. There are no electronics to fail. Tank Tenders have been installed on quality production boats for years". You'll find Tank Tenders on Nordhavn, Gunboat, Hinckley and many others.
Before Tank Tender, you had to rely on an old-fashioned dip stick, site glass or electric float gauge to check the level of your boat's fuel, water or holding tank. Not anymore. Tank Tender provides extremely accurate readings for up to ten tanks. Without electricity. Without leaving the bridge. Without a doubt.
Tank Tender operates on air pressure. Select the tank, then pump a small amount of air through tubing to the bottom of the tank. When the air pressure in the tube equals the liquid pressure at the bottom of the tank, the gauge displays this pressure in inches of liquid.
Tank Tender's Features include:
- It's convenient. Monitors the levels in all tanks with just one instrument.
- It's easy to use. You can select a tank to measure and get an accurate measurement from the bridge in two or three seconds.
- It's simple to install. The average 4-tank system takes about an hour per tank. And there's nothing to wire.
- It's surprisingly inexpensive.Tank Tender costs much less than other industrial systems offering similar accuracy and reliability.
