Helly Hansen's Newport Pants feature Helly Tech®, a waterproof/ breathable outer layer between you and the elements. Its unique membrane stops water molecules going in, but lets moisture molecules escape. Keeping you dry from the outside and comfortable on the inside. This high performance technical barrier protects you from highly challenging, changing and unpredictable weather conditions. A Durable Water Repellent (DWR) treatment prevents dampness from seeping through by lowering the surface tension of the fabric so water beads up on the outer layer and runs off. Seams are fully sealed and the center front zipper has a single storm flap so water won't just squeeze through these vulnerable areas.

But there's a lot more to these Newport Pants. They're lightweight and low bulk, yet protective and durable. Whether you're working in front of the mast or behind the helm, you'll find features for comfort and convenience. A mesh lining allows for quick drying inside should your pants experience a dunking. The thigh cargo pockets are roomy to allow for stashing tools so your hands are free to haul in the mainsheet. The seat and knees have an articulated cut so active sailors will have total freedom of movement. Reinforcements have been added to the seat, knees and ankles for extra durability. Finally, a SOLAS reflective patch on the chest makes sure you can be seen in low-light conditions. 100% polyamide. Imported.
