I have replaced these pumps three times in the last five years. The last one failed in one year. The impeller housing is still shiny brass. Have done impellers, they last about three months. Expensive junk.

4 pumps in 4 years. Need I say more. Time to move on. Each pump had minimal usage and lets face it the boating season in Boston is not very long.

Take a pass, this burns up if the water is stopped for more than 10 minutes. Brand new this year.

Comments about Water Puppy Flexible Impeller Pumps:

I used the pump as a back up in the aft end of the bilge and only engaged the pump occasionally. I have replace the pump four times in the past four years. Have had all the wiring checked and replaced by a professional. The Jabsco water puppy simply does not hold up in this application. You can't say I didn't give it a fair chance!

This was a replacement for a pump purchased by a previous owner. It was the same model. The first was at least 6 years, this one failed during the 2nd year.
