The pump gauge does not work so you don't know how much air you have put in. When we blew it up for the first time in our living room, we noticed the stitching on the side is coming apart. The strap on the bag broke immediately. Also the paddle that comes with it is pretty heavy. This is one of the least expensive inflatable SUP packages and there is a reason why! I hope West Marine backs their return guarantee because unfortunately it is going back!

      • Stowing On Deck

I am a very experienced watersports enthusiast and was initially skeptical of this board but just needed something light that I could stow on my sailboat. It was easy to inflate (becomes absolutely rock hard at 12 PSI), easy to lift on and off the water, and performs reasonably well. It's probably not stiff enough to handle surfing a wave, but I can paddle around with my wife sitting on the front with ease. The fin fell out but that could have been user error (replacing it wasn't tough, $15 i think). Overall, I would definitely recommend this board. My next purchase will be an inflatable windsurfer whenever the cost comes down a bit but, make no mistake, this is the next big thing in watersports.

We store ours on our yacht. The family's age range from newly borns through grandparents. as it is a softer construction it will not be damaged is placed on deck overnight, nor will it damage our boat.
The WHOLE family enjoyed this boat, Mom and the baby being paddled by dad, three teenagers on it, the grandparents watching the family enjoying this.
A great board and one that is requested by the family every time they are onboard.

Easy to set up and use. A little unstable side to side but the portability is well worth it. I like it enough that I bought a second one. I have used it in lakes and in calm water in the ocean and I am very satisfied with it.

I love the board as it is firm & steady.
The paddle on the other hand was heavy & sank like a rock when it fell into the water & was gone before it could be rescued. Who sells a non-floating paddle without a leash for a SUP?

I was very surprised with how good this inflatable SUP is. It only takes a few minutes to inflate, once inflated this SUP is very ridged and it does not flex very much. This SUP deflates and rolls up very easy. The one down fall is the removable fin. You will need a screwdriver or coin to screw the fin in place. I went to the local hardware store and replaced the screw with a stainless bolt and wing nut. Now I don't have to look for change or carry a screwdriver. Overall this product is great!!

The board seems well constructed with all of the important details reasonable well executed. It didn't seem to taco too much on the water, but not as fast as a rigid board. My biggest concern is the weight of the paddle. It's pretty heavy for a SUP paddle and I am worried it can sink.
