This is a great board and over all I'm super happy with it. As far as I can tell, this is one of the best deals out there. For reference, I'm a 5'8", 160 lb woman in her late twenties and was 7 months post caesarean delivery as far as physical condition goes.

It inflates surprisingly quickly... I was prepared for a long haul but it was ready to go in no time! I can pump it up on my own but the last few psi are very difficult and I usually get my husband to do that bit. The valve works really well and there's no leakage. Once inflated it's nearly totally rigid: there's just enough give to make it easy on your feet, but not enough to affect usability.

It's heavy, but I can carry it around well enough. The handle in the centre is a little hard on the fingers, but it's totally doable for short distances. It's a little tricky to roll up but once you've got it, it packages well and the carry bag has shoulder straps with a chest clip so it's easy to pack around.

I found it pretty easy to use. After a little practicing on my knees with the paddle shortened, I was able to stand. My husband was able to stand right away but he's always had better balance/coordination than I do, never mind my diastatis recti. The bungees and d-rings are great to have and I wouldn't recommend a board without them. I also love that this has such a high upper weight limit: I definitely want the kid to be able to sit on the front in another year or two.

My only real complaint is that the paddle doesn't float. This seems like a massive oversight. We use the leash to attach it to the board just in case, but we will probably replace it at some point.

Also, the pin to attach the fin was super secure... Enough so that it was tricky to detach when we were packing up. We replaced it with one with a quick-release retainer from the hardware store for a few bucks.

Anyways, I love this board and have already recommended it to several people. Big fan!

The pump gauge does not work so you don't know how much air you have put in. When we blew it up for the first time in our living room, we noticed the stitching on the side is coming apart. The strap on the bag broke immediately. Also the paddle that comes with it is pretty heavy. This is one of the least expensive inflatable SUP packages and there is a reason why! I hope West Marine backs their return guarantee because unfortunately it is going back!

    Service and delivery comments:

This shipped and was delivered very quickly and without any hiccups. It was well packaged and undamaged on arrival. I'm in Canada and used to delays and complications so this was really nice!

we keep this on our sailboat. It is compact and stores in the lazarette. Invest in an electric pump, it will inflate to full pressure in a minute and is rock hard. We have so much fun on this. I weigh in @ 240lbs and no problems. Great product.

Inflatables are always a little work to get to proper PSI, but the convenience of not having to load it on a roof rack easily outweighs the slight work to inflate. This is the second one we've owned and love them both!

Comments about Jimmy Styks 106 Seeker Inflatable Stand-Up Paddleboard:

Difficult to inflate-- air hose will not lock into the board and wants to pop out at high pressure. Difficult to hold hose in while pumping. Difficult to close opening without losing a lot of air.

Ride is really unstable. It is a constant battle to stay up, rather than a relaxing ride.

Comments about Jimmy Styks 106 Seeker Inflatable Stand-Up Paddleboard:

Many of the reviews I've been reading say the gauge doesn't work. People must realize it won't register air pressure until there is enough air in the board. At 12 psi, my board was very solid. It is so much lighter to carry than a typical SUP, I think I will be very happy. I find it tracks well and is very easy to push/paddle along. I might invest in a better paddle at some point- for a beginner, this is a good buy!

Comments about Jimmy Styks 106 Seeker Inflatable Stand-Up Paddleboard:

I am a very experienced watersports enthusiast and was initially skeptical of this board but just needed something light that I could stow on my sailboat. It was easy to inflate (becomes absolutely rock hard at 12 PSI), easy to lift on and off the water, and performs reasonably well. It's probably not stiff enough to handle surfing a wave, but I can paddle around with my wife sitting on the front with ease. The fin fell out but that could have been user error (replacing it wasn't tough, $15 i think). Overall, I would definitely recommend this board. My next purchase will be an inflatable windsurfer whenever the cost comes down a bit but, make no mistake, this is the next big thing in watersports.
