JOHNSON PUMP

Livewell Aerator Pumps

Twin outlet port pumps offer the convenience of using only one intake for both the livewell and raw water washdown pump. A 3/4" tapered inlet connects directly to the seacock. Provides a continuous flow of water discharge to the livewell while the lower outlet port connects to the washdown pump through either 1/2" or 3/4" ports. (Model 10289817, 1250 GPH, has 1-1/8" ports.) Single-port livewell pumps in 500 GPH and 750 GPH capacities feature smaller profiles to fit in more confined spaces. Easy to change motor cartridge.

            Comments about Livewell Aerator Pumps:

These pumps don't last but a few months, but very easy to change out (5 mins) tops, just keep your receipt and return to store for a new one as they have a 3 year warranty. I must have returned 5 with no problem.

                  Comments about Livewell Aerator Pumps:

The o-ring sealing system for the motor cartridge is a very poor design. Any expanding of the orange housing will cause a severe leak. Do not use below the water line!

                  Comments about Livewell Aerator Pumps:

I have several of these for use on my offshore boat. The pumps are fairly reliable and I like the fact I can change out the motor unit without having to detach the body. I have the 750 gph pump and what appears to happen is the impeller gets some air into it (cavitates?) and stops pumping water, although the impeller is spinning. If this could consistently clear air through itself, I'd give it a higher rating.
