A shorter women's touring SUP for flatwater fun and fitness!
If you’re looking for a board that's at its best gliding across a tranquil lake at sunrise or maneuvering around a slow-moving river on a day trip, look no further than the Eleven Six Touring SUP. Featuring a displacement hull for excellent tracking, a confidence-inspiring width for stability and a moderate rocker profile to help move you efficiently through the water, this versatile SUP is a no-brainer for lighter paddlers and those wanting a great cardio workout.
Construction
Multi-layer epoxy and fiberglass construction ensures durability and keeps your Eleven Six looking beautiful. The lightweight expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam core features five-layer reinforced sidewalls. A clear coat finish covers the polyurethane paint that protects the tri-layer fiberglass and epoxy resin layers.
Deck
The recessed deck provides a lower center of gravity for enhanced stability, while the large deck pad offers a comfortable nonslip surface for maximum grip and control with plenty of space to change positions based on paddling style and conditions. You'll find five leash/utility plugs for adding bungee cord to secure essential gear.
Vented Handle
There's a self-breathing vent cap conveniently integrated into the carry handle in approximately the middle of the deck. As temperatures within the core increase, air trapped within the watertight skin of the board expands. The vented handle allows the heated air to escape effectively reducing internal pressure. The vented handle also features a general purpose secure utility bar. In combination with a standard bike lock or padlock, you can thwart board-snatchers and other lower life forms when leaving your board unattended.
Volume
When deciding on an SUP, you'll want to choose a board with adequate volume. This can be the difference between gliding smoothly across the surface or spending your time fighting that very real sinking feeling! Proper volume is influenced by two key variables: rider weight and skill level. The displacement hull on the Eleven Six Touring SUP is designed for stability and buoyancy. With a volume of 222 liters, the recommended rider weight limit is 200 pounds for beginners or novices. Experienced paddlers may find they can even exceed this recommended weight limit!
Shape
The sharper point at the nose on the Eleven Six Touring SUP does a good job slicing through calm water. The ample width provides good stability so even beginners will quickly learn to paddle with ease.
Rocker
Rocker refers to the upward "bending" of the nose and tail when the board is lying flat. Boards have varying degrees of rocker depending on the board type. The moderate rocker profile on this board helps it glide forward and turn easily.
Fin
The included modified racing fin presents a large surface area to increase lateral stability and enhance straight tracking.
If you don't already own them, remember to order an SUP paddle and a life jacket (both sold separately) so you'll be out on the water quickly!
