    Comments about OneTouch Winch Handles:

Great winch handle, the quick release by squeezing the handle works so much better than the old lever release.

The winch handle is so easy to insert and release with one hand . Cranking becomes a pleasure. Just grab the lever and it releases without fumbling.

          Comments about OneTouch Winch Handles:

I have a one design boat and the efficiency of the tacks are very important because every second counts. With Lewmar winch we were able to improve our tacks and just took 2nd place in the Rolex Ilhabela Sailing Week on our class ( HPE25)

Great, but maybe more likely to lose

              Comments about OneTouch Winch Handles:

I have somewhat mixed feeling about this product. Its one-handed attachment and easy attachment/release are fantastic features, but my crew and passengers (and I) have lost 4 of these in 3 years... more than with other handles.

I believe it is the very design that makes it easy to use makes it easy to lose. It releases with just a touch, so an unwitting crew can release it without actually grabbing it, and clunk... over the side in an instant. And the statement "two hands for beginners" can be applied here. If you have to use 2 hands, you will be more likely to grip it securely and not drop it. Finally, the spring-loaded-ball locking mechanism is more likely than a conventional handle to fail in in a horizontal location like a mast-mounted halyard winch.

Despite these design issues, I will probably defer to the ease of use, and I expect my next replacement (with reservations) will be another one-touch.

                Comments about OneTouch Winch Handles:

The power grip handle works great. I have the 8" for restricted spaces and 10" for open spaces. They both do the job. Very sturdy but light weight.

I have used many different winch-handles and seen people struggle with removing them in time for the next tack. This is the best winch-handle I have used ever, no hesitation on that!
