        Best Uses

          Comments about Marinco Sealing Ring:

The locking ring should always be used, and will lead to longer life of your cord/boat connection.

The material used in this product is relatively fragile and subject to breaking if you happen to drop your power cord on the dock. I wish they had gone with a more "robust" material for the product... But the bottom line is that it is functionally sound. Just be careful when handling and stowing your shore power cords.

                Comments about Marinco Sealing Ring:

We recently acquired a boat that came with Marinco Shore Power Cords. The bad thing is that one of the cords was missing the lock ring where it attaches to the boat. The good thing is that as you see, they are available to buy as a replacement item! Although putting it on was a bit tough (may be harder due to cold temps that day) it only took a couple minutes. It simply snaps around the rubber ring on the cord. On a warm day, the rubber ring is probably a bit more flexible and would like make putting the ring on a little easier. Still...no big deal and a must have as you certainly dont want your shore power cord to come loose when you are counting on it to power your heater, charger, bilge heater etc! Buy one for a spare in case you break one...you might be glad you did!
