Great construction, long lasting. The color coding is great for identifying sheet on a crowded trampoline, and with new crews that are unfamiliar.

As another poster has noted this is extrememly difficult to do an eye splice (I have 3/8") due to either the cover not being very distendable or the core being especially thick, rendering it nearly impossible to bury the cover within the cover. The line itself performs fairly well as a mainsheet but is a little stretchy for halyards. After 3 years of seasoning I also would have expected it to develop a little bit of a softer feel that one would like to have in a mainsheet but it still seems stiff.

Comments about New England Ropes 3/16" Color-coded Sta-set, 1300lb. Breaking Strength, Red:

This line is really nice and slips easily through blocks. I use it as a very long continuous Spinnaker halyard. Still it is easy to hold in your hand, and makes raising and lowering the sail quickly a breeze.

Comments about New England Ropes 1/4" Color-coded Sta-set, 2500lb. Breaking Strength, Red:

The nice tight weave makes line easy handling and smooth running in the blocks.
Tried every trick I've learned in 40 years on the water. Tried tapering the splice, made smaller diameter fids, tried pushing, tired pulling, etc., etc. Unable to make an eye splice! In the final application, we just tied a bowline knot and taped the end to secure.
Choose the application of use carefully!

Have a Catalina 22 with a roller furling system. The drum needs a very small line but it has to be strong for the 150 Genoa. This line worked perfect.

Very hard to do an eye splice because cover is so tight and doesn't open up enough when bunched up to pass a fid.
