Product Description

One of the safest ways to cook while afloat! Surface mount stove offers optional gimbals and potholders for use at sea or anchor. Virtually eliminates the risk of explosion due to its patented alcohol canister. Stainless-steel canister is filled with a non-flammable wool fiber that allows vapors to be released when the flame control valve is opened. Holds enough denatured alcohol to burn for 4-7 hours per filling, depending on flame setting. It only takes 6-8 minutes to boil a quart of water. The stovetop easily flips up to allow access to the fuel canisters for easy filling. Made of stainless steel, and built to survive the harshest environment. Manufactured in Sweden. 5-3/8"H x 9-5/16"W x 10-5/16"L.

Comments about Non Pressurized Alcohol Stove:

We are just loving this little stove. We recently purchased a Montgomery 17. We love the boat but I wasn't looking forward to the 'culinary' side of things, finding a stove to fit in the small space provided that used a safe fuel. I've got a system now where I do most of my food prep elsewhere and generally just use the stove for reheating or cooking the prepared meals and making hot beverages. We looked for the stove used by other Montgomery owners and found the Origo. It's ideal.

Comments about Non Pressurized Alcohol Stove:

I have used it for years. The safety is the strongest point - hard to imagine you can have a serious accident with this liquid alcohol-fuel stove. It is totally silent and surprisingly quick in heating up a pot, pan or pressure-cooker. The only issue is the control that the novice tend to turn the wrong way when changing heat up or down. A slider-control would have been better.
