Comments about Swiftwater Sit Inside Kayak:

I purchased this kayak to carry on the roof of a 30 foot cruiser for exploring while moored or anchored. The performance of the kayak is good, easy to use and it is comfortable. Only negative is that its weight makes it more difficult to mount on the roof of our boat than I had anticipated when we are not moored at a dock. Definitely a two person operation.

Service and delivery comments:

Purchased this product on line and had it shipped to a West Marine store at no charge. I will definitely use this service again.

Comments about Swiftwater Sit Inside Kayak:

I own 13 kayaks, work for a local kayak tour company, and go out 3 to 4 times a week year-round so I have a lot of experience with kayaks. Bought the 10.5 version for my wife and it is hands down the fastest kayak for its size (she can now keep up when I am using a normal Rec kayak). It is a smallish Rec kayak (so it is light and easy to load on top of the car) but can easily keep pace with 12 foot or even longer touring boats with no problem. Seating is top notch and appointments (bow lines, hatch, etc) work well. Not 5 stars because it is a little tricky on tracking in flat water (the flip side being that it is highly manueverable in moving water). Foot braces are small (buy the Confluence replacement foot pads: big improvement). Hatch is fairly dry but if you have valuables that need to stay absolutely dry, put them in a dry bag before putting them in the hatch. Unlike many Rec boats, takes a little while to get the balance because it is narrow for a Rec kayak (but that is integral with the design that makes this boat so fast). If you are looking for fast, comfortable, and manuverable kayak. best I have seen at this price range.
