      Comments about Garboard Drain Plugs:

The flange itself is bronze, but the backing plate , screws supplied and the plug are brass. Having replaced an identical one on my boat. I can say posatively the brass is an issue. The old brass plug corroded maybe it was galvanic action not sure but it will not hold up compared to the bronze part which looks new. The brass plug should be removed and inspected yearly. Screws should be bronze, I used stainless which seem to hold up well, will look for bronze replacement plug

        Comments about Garboard Drain Plugs:

Big problem with this plug. Your boat sinks quickly when it is not inserted into the drain hole prior to launching from trailer. Please do not ask how I know. Can be very expensive, starting with cost of new underwear.
