When you're ready to paddle, just closely center the three pieces in a straight line, engage the patented Snap-TAP system between each piece, push the pieces together and it's ready to go where the current and your sense of adventure take you.

When disassembled, the Martini GTX Tandem's three pieces are an easily-manageable 5'9", 5'4" and 4'8" long and 27 5/8" wide. You'll be able to transport them to the water in your SUV, crossover, mini van, hatchback or pickup and when you get home they take up hardly any space in your garage or shed. All of this is possible due to the innovative, patented Snap-TAP system that allows for fast, easy, secure attachment.

Created by award-winning design engineer Magnus De Brito, the Martini GTX Tandem becomes a solo kayak by removing a mid-section or turns into a triple, quadruple or larger performer just by adding mid-section pieces that other Martini Tandem owners bring along. For example, two tandems can be turned into one triple and a solo. Add as many paddlers as you want for an excellent team building tool.

Performance

The Martini GTX Tandem is easy to handle in the water. Nimble and highly maneuverable, yet offering comfort and stability for both kids and adults. The rotomolded polyethylene construction provides a combination of strength and impact resistance that most other materials can’t match.

Onboard Storage

There is lots of dry storage space with powder-dry hatches fore and aft. The round bow hatch is 7 7/8" x 7 7/8", while the oval stern hatch is a spacious 17" x 10". These easily accessible, watertight compartments will keep essential gear dry and out of the way. Bungee tiedowns on the deck allow you to stow more items within quick reach. And of course there are built-in cup holders behind each cockpit.

AIR Seat

The Martini GTX Tandem cockpits are equipped with ergonomically designed AIR seats. The AIR seats, with pneumatically adjustable backrests, give paddlers extremely comfortable and perfectly adjustable seating positions. Seat covers feature highly durable and comfortable, honeycomb patterned material combined with mesh-like fabric which is laminated and molded over EVA foam on the seat and back.

Comfort

The large size of the comfy, padded cockpits (18" x 33") offers plenty of legroom which  makes for easy entry and exit and fits most paddlers. They are also equipped with foot braces, which provide for good leg support and a comfortable paddling position and thigh braces for improved control. Add spray covers (sold separately) and you can enjoy a dry ride even in rough conditions.

Integrated Rudder

The Martini GTX Tandem comes complete with an integrated rudder and easily adjustable rudder pedals. If you're paddling on open water and are exposed to the effects of wind and waves, the rudder will help you keep a straight course. Other times, it helps with turning the kayak as it creates more drag when deployed on one side or the other.

Fishing Capable

With the Martini GTX Tandem there's no need to ignore all those entrees swimming tantalizingly close to your boat. You'll find the multiple paddle parks will let you cast and retrieve your prey without losing your paddle. A molded in fish-o-meter will help measure your catch so you stay within legal limits. Then, simply add some after-market rod holders and you're in business.
