Product Description

The WC400 is waterproof housing that surrounds your stereo on all sides for maximum protection. A gasket-sealed, polycarbonate splash cover on the front of the rugged ABS enclosure prevents water from entering. The hinged cover lifts easily and remains out of the way in any of several positions. When open, it maintains partial splash protection while still allowing access to stereo controls. Wires and a rear connector let you hook up the stereo and antenna through the housing. A gimbal mounting bracket permits installation above or below the dash, under an electronic box or on any convenient horizontal surface.

Features:

  • Accommodates any dual post, removable and DIN-style stereos
  • High Impact ABS Housing
  • Stainless Steel Bracket
  • Dash or Overhead Mounting
  • Mounting Hardware Included
  • Available in Black (Part# WC400B) or White (Part# WC400) color

Wow, I read the reviews and was hesitant to buy it based on some of the feedback. I found this product easy to install, the seal mentioned in some of the other feedbacks was not an issue at all. Well designed, looks great, love it! Would buy this again!

            Comments about Stereo Weather Enclosure:

In order to remain waterproof the unit is "pre wired" which requires multiple splices on each wire to connect your stereo. While that is no problem for experienced installers it leaves plenty of room for error if you are a beginner. However, this would be a good feature if the unit was actually waterproof. After some rain the other day I went on the boat to check everything out and there was a ton of water inside the enclosure. This is a complete waste of money. My head unit is not ruined and I will be bringing both that and the enclosure back to WM tomorrow expecting a full refund.

              Comments about Stereo Weather Enclosure:

The rubber seal was a pain but after some fiddling it went together fine. Works well, but I would not mount this were it is directly exposed to the elements. I mounted mine inside my center console.

This thingy saved me from having to cut a hole in the cabin to mount my new Sony stereo. The gasket was a pain in the butt and there was a minor manufacturing defect in the dark plastic cover that does not show because of how I mounted it. Stupidity runs rampant in my family and if I can install this thing so can you as long as you're comfortable doing a little wiring.
