The clean and contemporary style of the brushed aluminum Genesis 250 is unmatched in today’s e-bike market. The 250-watt free-spinning motor mounted in the front wheel, which delivers 500 watts at peak, is the synthesis of power and high performance. Just turn the half-twist throttle for “power-on-demand” propulsion to engage the motor and reach speeds of up to 17 mph. The 36-volt, 9-amp, high-capacity advanced lithium ion battery (LiFePO4) provides green energy efficiency and riding distances of 18 to 25 miles per charge. The precise and dependable SRAM X5 Derailleur and X7 Twist 8-speed shifter ensure an effortless ride while offering the option of pedaling for exercise. In addition, the Avid BB5 disc brakes and Avid 180-millimeter HS1 heat-shedding rotors supply reliable stopping performance. Triple-wall deep 25-millimeter rims add strength and rigidity to the Genesis 250. The lightweight, aircraft-grade aluminum alloy frame folds for easy storage.

Not suitable for marine environment

Comments about Prodeco Technologies Genesis 8Spd 36V 250W e-Bike:

I bought 2 of these for use on my boat, the bikes look cool and rode well for the first 6 months. Prodeco claimed that they were "marinized". Nearly every nut, bolt, screw, pedal.... Rusted badly and quickly in spite of using a rust preventing lube and carefully cleaning bikes, I also spent several hundred dollars having custom covers made. Calls through the dealer and directly claimed "nothing is Really Marinized enough for salt water areas". After asking for new parts to replace the rusted ones and being denied, as well as battery issues, I asked what to do with the bike as the warranty had run out, the guy told me that I could always ride it without using the electric motor...Great, a 45lb bike rusting from every pore! Lousy customer service and difficult for even their dealers.
Go buy a Dahon, they hold up much better and are very light.

Comments about Prodeco Technologies Genesis 8Spd 36V 250W e-Bike:

Great bike, but be very careful with the battery. Replacement cost $400. Mine went dead after 3 years. Used about 6 times, rough estimate $66.00 per ride. Prodeco said I let the charge go dead. For $400 I feel there should be some kind of safety to prevent this. Missed the warrantee by one year. Be very careful!!!
