Comments about Forespar Marelon Flanged Seacocks:
Two of these seacocks came installed on my boat (one in the galley and one in the head). The other day I turned on the one in the head and the handle came off. Water started spraying into the boat.
Forespar's website admit that 2% (!!!) of these units fail every year. Forespar attribute virtually all these failures to users applying excessive force when closing the seacock resulting in the handle coming loose.
Seacocks are too important to rely on products with such an astonishing failure rate. I'm replacing mine with brass.
