Moisture Absorbers
These moisture-absorbing products are a safe alternative to electric dehumidifiers. They utilize special white crystals which, when exposed to the air, absorb excess moisture and liquefy into a non-toxic, salty brine. The collected liquid will not re-evaporate, so moisture cannot escape once it’s captured. The crystals also absorb unpleasant musty odors, helping to create a fresher, healthier environment. They are non-toxic, septic safe and environmentally friendly. Depending on humidity, convenient sachets can last for up to six months.
The 14oz. hanging moisture absorber is designed for placement in hanging lockers. The 6oz. sachet is ideal for placement under cabinetry in your boat or RV. It features a convenient visual indicator that tells you when it needs to be replaced.

Comments about Damp Rid Moisture Absorbers:
These hanging bags work great. How long they last depends on the moisture in the air. They can last as long as a month, or as little as a week. However they last they work effectively as long as they are replaced when full. Now here is the problem: West grossly overprices these single bags. For maybe a dollar more you can buy a 3-pack box at many stores ([...]). I just bought a 3-Pack box for [$]. a dollar more than I could have at a [...] I didn't feel like driving to tonight. Last fall at a [...] I found a display of 3+1 packs - 4 for the price of 3! I snatched up a half dozen boxes. If you are going to use them effectively you will use them often, probably more than one at a time if you boat is any size. Sadly West prices these so far above the common market there is just no excuse. The dif in price stretches up, up, and away real fast. We're talking 3-4 times the price at other common stores. So while I recommend this as a product, I do NOT recommend buying them at West. It is necessary to speak truth to this supplier.

Comments about Damp Rid Moisture Absorbers:
These damp rid hanging dehumidifiers work great! I use them all summer long and put several in the boat when we do winter storage. They don't leak or have any odor to them. They collect a lot of water. Have used the jar ones also and they work great too but you have to empty them. The hanging ones you don't. You just toss them when they are used up.
