I purchased my first "Admiral Series Telescoping handle/brush" in 2009. Two years later, the handle would not lock in position, so the brush simply rotates and will not stay extended. When I complained, West Marine replaced the handle. Thank you.
I used the new handle for the third time today and after some use, the handle would not lock in position again. The flaw is fatal as it makes the brush/handle totally unuseable. It may be related to the sealed handle which permits it to float. I have another shorter basic (non floating) West Marine handle purchased in 1998 and it still works fine.
Save your money and go with the shorter, low cost, but highly reliable telescoping brush handle. You will be much happier.
