Description

Hub Fuse Block, SafetyHub100, Single Integrated Harness

The SafetyHub 100 combines an ignition protected fuse block and an integrated connecting plug. It is safe for use on gasoline powered boats, reduces wiring connections, and consolidates up to seven fused circuits. Fuses sold separately.

  • Three 30A−200A MIDI®/AMI® fuses ideal for high-amp circuits including panel feeds, windlasses, and
    stereo amplifiers
  • Four 1A−20A  ATO®/ATC® fuses  ideal for circuits including bilge pumps, alarms, and clock memory
  • Sealed cover protects fuses from the harsh marine environment: IP66 rating—protected against powerful
    water jets
  • Integrated connector plugs eliminate loose wires and provide a secure, waterproof connection
  • Ignition protected fusing meets Coast Guard and ABYC requirements for installation on gasoline or diesel
    powered boats
  • Meets ISO 8846 ignition protection, and SAE J1171 external ignition protection requirements
  • IP66— protected against powerful water jets

    Comments about SafetyHub Fuse Blocks:

I purchased a pair of these as part of a total rewire that I was tasked to do of my YC's circa 1976 inboard powered 24 ft Privateer. I was thrilled to find that I could replace an array of hanging fuse holders in the aft compartment that was exposed to potential gas vapors, with a ignition proof approved fuse block. I was not, however, thrilled when I found out that I had to connect the loads to this block via a connector w/pigtales (supplied). Up to that point the whole rewire project of the boat was accomplished without any wire to wire splices. The Safety100 block REQUIRES the user to connect their loads (circuits) via splices to the furnished connector. This connector method further prevents the user from disconnecting a single circuit from the block for maintenance purposes. Either all circuits are connected or the connector is pulled and all are disconnected. I returned the SafetyBlock100s and the local WEST MARINE graciously special ordered a pair of the SafetyBlock150s which have individual screw terminations. See my review of the 150.

Comments about Blue Sea Systems SafetyHub Fuse Blocks:

This block is the foundation of a total rewire of a 65 year old troller. The ability to integrate wind, solar, and inverter charging systems is a HUGE plus as I spend months away from suppliers as I sail the remote Alaskan coastline.
