The best distance-to-line tool ever. Before Velocitek, you needed a $10,000 laptop-based system to get accurate distance-to-line measurements. Now, with ProStart, setting the line is as simple as telling your crew to press the Boat button as you sail by the RC and then the Pin button as you sail by the pin. Once you���ve ���pinged��� both ends of the line, ProStart uses WAAS-augmented GPS technology to spit out an accurate distance to line measurement every half-second. A stripped-down features list. Velocitek engineers observed how pro sailors use GPS instruments, and kept all the features the pros were actually using and eliminated everything else: ProStart includes speed, compass and distance to line updated at two times per second; countdown start timer; header/lift indicator updated at two times per second; maximum and best 10 second average speed recall; user-configurable bow offset for distance to line and magnetic declination. Internet-updatable firmware allows you to benefit from ongoing product improvements and feature additions.
