This product is all that was advertised. The steps are sturdy and safe. I have a high freeboard on my sailboat and these steps not only make boarding the boat easier, but much safer.

While the structure of this product is sturdily built, the non-slip pads are of very poor quality. The non-slip material does not hold up to direct sun light, and the edges tend to curl up(every one of these steps around our marina seem to have the same problem). In addition, the entire tread surface is not covered by the non-slip material, and when wet the exposed plastic surface becomes quite slick. While I did not purchase the optional hand rail, both my wife and I have experienced falls from the middle step (three step version). I am in the process of replacing this product.

Steady and sturdy - but be sure to measure the width of your finger pier. These are wide and take up all of the pier thus blocking access to the end of the finger pier.
