Description

Lazy Jack Systems

Lazy Jacks control the mainsail when reefing or dousing, and easily tame today's mainsails whether full-battened or conventional type. Schaefer's Lazy Jacks funnel the sail down to the boom and retain it, keeping you safe in the cockpit and allowing you to properly secure the sail when you are moored. They allow for the use of an existing sailcover without the need for extensive modifications.

Thimbled eyestraps attached to the bottom of your boom keep the hardware away from the cover and enable you to tuck your sailcover under the lazy jack control lines. Includes fasteners, eye straps, jam cleat, lashing eye blocks with elkhide chafe guards, vinyl-coated wire, cheek blocks and Dacron double braid with eye splices.

Comments about Schaefer Lazy Jack Systems:

After fighting with the main sail up and down for more than a year I decided to instal a Lazy Jack for help. To select the Schaefer system was easy as it has a better quality construction than other brands. I was quite attracted by the coated cables and the leather protection provided for blocks. Being in sale at West Marine was also a considerable factor. Installation was simple as the mast on my boat can be lowered very easy. The hardware on the boom can be installed in different ways as it better suits to the boat. The line provided was more than enough and of a good quality. So far I have no negative issues with this system and hope that it will perform well for a long time to come.

    Service and delivery comments:
