Comments about Pettit Paints Trinidad SR Antifouling Paint:
Though expensive, the high cuprous oxide content of Trinidad does the job in very warm waters. It will discolor when the boat is left on the dock.

Comments about Pettit Paints Trinidad SR Antifouling Paint:
In the summer of 1999 I hauled my 30' sailboat and repainted the bottom. No one seemed certain how effective the new SR formula of Trinidad was in preventing slime, and at $20/gal. extra, I had some doubts. No longer. Accustomed to having the bottom cleaned every other week, I closely watched it for six months. Finally, feeling guilty, I paid a diver to clean it. He reported back that it was already clean. It has been almost a year now, and the bottom is still free of both hard growth, and more surprisingly, free of slime.

Comments about Pettit Paints Trinidad SR Antifouling Paint:
As an avid power and sail boater for more than 30 years in Florida, I have never found a bottom paint that lasts as long or works as well as Petit Trinidad SR in high-fouling waters. The SR" factor is new and definitely aids in prevention of slime between haul-outs, but smells awful. Even with the smell, I have not found ANY product that works better for as long, and an advantage of this product is that you can pressure wash and touch up between bottom jobs, and actually go for two full seasons before repainting. In the high-fouling areas of Florida, this is almost unheard of! This is a GREAT product that could only be better if the cleanup were easier."
