Comments about Garelick 4 Stroke Auxiliary Outboard Brackets:

I'm using it with a 15hp 4 stroke kicker motor that it basically will lift out of the water on its own. I found it to be easy to mount by following the instructions.

Comments about Garelick 4 Stroke Auxiliary Outboard Brackets:

Sturdy beyond words!....Poor design....Too large and heavy for a 28' sail boat, although the smallest recommended for a four stroke, springs have to be cut to accommodate an 85 lb. 4 stroke motor.... Polly board is too large......At least a 2" spacer is needed to allow handle to clear the transom enough to work at all.

Not a good fit for my boat

Comments about Garelick 4 Stroke Auxiliary Outboard Brackets:

Set this up just as in the instructions. The dry fit looked fine but the handle was right up against the transom. I put it in with 3M 5200 and bolts to find that the upper slot cannot be accessed because the handle hits the transom. My transom is straight so this is a design problem and limits the useful range of the bracket. Now I have a bracket that does not work well semi permanently attached to my boat after a lot of work to install it. That sucks!

I'm putting a 4 stroke 15 hp long shaft outboard on my sailboat and this adjustable transom will do the trick.

the product was delivered right to my door. I was surprised how far it came from and that it was still in great condition.
