Built to U.S. military specifications for optical performance, waterproofness and durability, these are among the very best marine binoculars made. Lenses and prisms are made with FujinonÂ’s exclusive rare-earth glass formulations featuring a proprietary zirconium oxide Electron Beam Coating (EBC) process that enables them to transmit an incredible 95% of the light striking the objective lenses, a critical advantage in low light, such as at dawn and dusk.
The rubber-armored housings are a lightweight, aluminum alloy—not plastic. “Flat field” lenses eliminate all visible distortion and astigmatism from the center to the edges for excellent edge-to-edge sharpness. 23mm eye relief provides a complete image even if you wear glasses. The compass model features a large, stable and accurate compass and reticle. Nitrogen-filled, 100% waterproof. A comfortable padded neckstrap is included.
