AIS WatchMate AIS Display and Collision Warning System
AIS WatchMate is a unique, dedicated waterproof display that works with any
Class A or B AIS transponder, providing a radar-like representation of all
vessels within range. Targets are plotted on a graphic screen format showing
their relative course in a heading-up orientation, so it's simple to interpret.
The plot is not limited to just a few targets like some other AIS displays, and
a wide variety of plotting ranges are available. AIS WatchMate draws your
attention to high-priority vessels first, reducing screen clutter in crowded
situations, with navigation aids also indicated. Simple four-button operation.
It works seamlessly with other AIS displays, such as chartplotters and
computers, but is fully functional as a stand-alone display unit. When power is
a concern you can still safely leave the AIS WatchMate "on-watch" all the time.
This electrically thrifty 12V device draws a scant 100mA, so itÂ’s perfect for
cruisers or others who are energy-conscious. The WatchMate now supports 2 input
/ 2 output ports.
