Unit 00AL Furler
The Unit 00AL is the perfect furling and reefing system for small cruisers, combining most of the features of larger Harken systems, but in a simpler unit. Torlon® bearings in the swivels are protected from dirt by bearing shields. Large bearing diameter minimizes friction, needing no lubrication or isolating seals, and the large-diameter drum provides lots of mechanical advantage for easy furling. A double-grooved foil allows for racing sail changes, but is only 3/4" wide and 1" long. The split drum removes easily for racing. Fits #6 luff tape.
