Trim tabs provide an extended planing surface which makes your sportboat handle like a longer boat, while providing upward force to counteract heavier engines. WeÂ’re amazed by how such a simple device can improve how a boat handles, especially at slow planing speeds. The trick, of course, is how you make something that will fold up with the boat. Our friends at Zodiac who work in their R&D lab came up with a simple design that folds in a matter of seconds, or which can be removed entirely. Installation is very simple: drill a few holes in your transom and screw the tabs in place (with a little 5200 for good measure on the screws.)" |
