MATRIX AIS+ GX2150 will display AIS target information when connected to a GPS and one VHF antenna, so you can be safe from collisions at night or during conditions of poor visibility. You can contact the AIS target ship directly using DSC, show your vessel’s position in relation to AIS targets and be alerted when a ship may be approaching close to your location. It has a commercial-grade receiver with Class D DSC (so a dedicated channel 70 receiver continuously watches for DSC calls) and a powerful 30W PA/Loud Hailer with preprogrammed fog signals. ClearVoice noise-canceling speaker microphone and 4.5W audio output. Enter and save up to 100 waypoints using a unique navigation compass display that shows your vessel’s SOG, COG and the BRG (Bearing) and DST (Distance) to the waypoint. Connect the GX2150 to a RAM3 Remote Access Microphone for remote control of all VHF, DSC and hailer functions as well as intercom function. GX2150 can “poll” (request and send) the GPS location of another vessel and show that vessel’s position on the radio’s alphanumeric display. When connected to a compatible GPS chartplotter, the GX2150 allows the position of the polled vessel to be shown on the chartplotter display.
MATRIX GX2000 has all the same features of the MATRIX GX2150, except AIS functions require an optional AIS receiver to be connected, and the GX2000 does not include listen-back when in PA mode. Both the GX2150 and GX2000 are compliant with new 2011 DSC requirements.
RAM3 Second Station Remote Mics control all radio functions, including distress, hailer/PA and DSC. RAM3 second stations are the only remotes that also show AIS target information.
