Our sixth-generation Third Reef foulies are our best yet. The newly re-designed coastal jacket is an outstanding choice for weekend trips in moderate conditions with fully lined, breathable, 100% water- and wind-proof Oxford nylon fabric. Its articulated hood pod and brushed-mesh collar provide comfort. Hi-vis, foldaway hood features volume adjuster and one-handed shock cord aperture adjusters. Internal layering loops at neck and cuffs.
Other features include gusseted cargo pockets, zipped handwarmer pockets with soft, quick-dry linings and non-corrosive zipper, internal zip pocket with headphone port, adjustable cuffs, internal Dartex storm cuff. Two-way storm flap with drainage channel. Two-way non-corrosive center front zip with adjustable waist with internal shock cord adjusters. Articulated for ease of movement. I bought this jacket for my boyfriend, who works outside. He loved it, and he said it was the only jacket he's ever had that kept him warm and dry in the rain without getting him sweaty. He especially likes all the extra pockets. He likes the style so much that he wears it even when it's not raining... :)

This was a gift for my husband. It is the third or forth coat we have purchsed for him in over 20 years. He loves the coat - though the surprise was ruined (see service comments)
Service and delivery comments:
This was to be a surprise Christmas gift for my husband. We have both a physical and Post Office address. Since I had to use the physical address, this was the address that was sent as the credit card address (which is usually the PO box). Unfortunately, a phone message from West Marine to straighten this out totally ruined any surprise!!!

Since it's winter here and the boat's on the hard I've only been able to check the jacket out in rainy conditions, not sea state. But it seems at this point fine.
Also the "Black Friday" online price was pretty unbeatable.

Was nice when new..water repelent, windproof. Washed according to instructions (pure soap, by hand) and it was worthless after that. Fabric felt very flimsy, not at all waterproof, seams started to tear. Complained to West Marine but they didnt bother to reply. Dont buy this product. Spend some more money elsewhere.

I had bought this product (and a few other foul weather items) a few days before the race to Mackinac this year. To say the least, all of the items performed absolutely great. During a terrible storm I was dry, warm (comfortable), and able to maneuver easily. Even on hot days or chilly nights, this thing breathes/retains heat very very well (and I'm a very heavy guy). Great price, great fit, overall great jacket
