The SmartPilot X-5 Wheel Pilot is the successor to the popular ST4000 and S1 Wheel drive systems. Equipped with the X-5 course computer, this rugged wheel pilot system features Raymarine’s Advanced Steering Technology (AST). The SPX-5’s integral rate gyro sensor and AST offers smarter performance and enables the SPX-5 to “AutoLearn” the vessel’s steering characteristics for improved course keeping and simplified calibration. The innovative SmartPilot X-5 Wheel autopilot is equipped with the fully enclosed MkII wheel-drive for simple installation and below deck autopilot performance. With everything you need for installation, it offers a quick and easy set up. The control unit and patented fluxgate compass are mounted separately for easy access and optimum performance. The LCD shows the pilot status and repeats up to seven pages of user-defined navigation data from your ST60 system. It is also equipped with the latest SeaTalkng networking and a standard rate-gyro processor ensuring razor sharp course keeping under any conditions. Designed for yachts with a laden displacement of up to 16,500lb. The bundled system comes complete with the ST6002 Control Head. For enhanced graphics and versatility, purchase the corepack separately and add your choice of control heads‚—the full-color ST70, ST70 Plus, ST7002 Plus, or ST8002 Plus.
